Neon Abyss 2 Bosses: Gods, Encounters & Version Scope
Steam's 1.0 achievement list confirms ten named boss defeats, while dated Veewo announcements classify additional encounters as Titans, Managers, or Regular Bosses. Archenemy Returns is a separate return group for bosses from the original Neon Abyss, and the fishing-room hidden boss remains unnamed. These sources do not provide a complete 1.0 roster.
Sources checked:
- Build
- The Steam achievement list and fishing-room announcement are current 1.0 sources checked on 2026-10-14. Other encounter classes are attributed to their dated Veewo announcements.
- Completeness
- The achievement list verifies ten named defeats. The official class announcements add named examples but do not publish a complete 1.0 roster.
- DLC distinction
- Archenemy Returns is described as returning bosses from the original Neon Abyss. Keep that return group distinct from Neon Abyss 2 encounter names and do not add its 34-boss figure to the native roster.
- Spoilers
- Boss and hidden-encounter names appear below. Veewo confirms a chest-related fishing-room boss but does not disclose its identity or trigger.
- Combat detail
- This reference identifies documented entities and encounter classifications. It does not claim current attacks, phases, damage values, or tactics.
Lookup and field meanings
Treat Steam’s ten named boss-defeat achievements as a verified subset, not the full Neon Abyss 2 roster. Veewo’s dated announcements also identify Theia and Prometheus as Titans, Hermes and Athena as Manager Bosses, Dark Aphrodite as a Manager Boss, and God of Stand Up and Michel / God of Graffiti as Regular Bosses. The 1.0 notes add a chest-related hidden boss in the fishing room but withhold its identity and trigger. Keep Archenemy Returns separate: Veewo says it gradually brings back all 34 bosses from the original Neon Abyss, which is not a count of Neon Abyss 2’s native roster.
Bosses named by Steam's achievement list
Steam’s official Global Gameplay Stats page currently lists these ten boss-defeat achievements. The list verifies that each named encounter can be defeated for an achievement; it does not show each boss’s route, encounter tier or attack pattern. Names and capitalization follow Steam’s descriptions where practical.

| Boss named by Steam | Achievement condition |
|---|---|
| God of Hackers | Defeat God of Hackers. |
| God of AI | Defeat God of AI. |
| GOD OF EDM | Defeat GOD OF EDM. |
| God of Psychedelia | Defeat God of Psychedelia. |
| Dark Eris, God of Psychedelia | Defeat Dark Eris. |
| Hyperion, God of Entertainment | Defeat Hyperion. |
| Hermes, God of Messages | Defeat Hermes. |
| Aphrodite, Goddess of Seduction | Defeat Aphrodite. |
| Dark Aphrodite | Defeat Dark Aphrodite. |
| Theia, Goddess of Vanity | Defeat Theia. |
The ten entries describe achievement targets, not a complete list of all encounters in the game. For the official wording and account progress, open the Steam achievement list.
Encounter classes confirmed by dated announcements
Veewo’s dated announcements classify additional encounters. The table records published examples, not every boss or a full 1.0 taxonomy.
Swipe or scroll horizontally to read all columns.
| Encounter | Officially documented context | Source date |
|---|---|---|
| Theia, Goddess of Vanity | New Titan introduced for 1.0; Steam also lists a defeat achievement. | 1.0 launch, October 8, 2026 |
| Prometheus | Described as a high-tier Titan boss. | January 29, 2026 |
| Hermes and Athena | Identified as Manager Bosses. | Major Update 2, November 27, 2025 |
| Dark Aphrodite | Identified as a Manager Boss; the June update also publishes her unlock and challenge conditions. | June 14, 2026 |
| God of Stand Up | Identified as a Regular Boss. | Major Update 2, November 27, 2025 |
| Michel, God of Graffiti | Identified as a Regular Boss. | June 14, 2026 |
Some names overlap Steam’s achievement list and some do not. The different update dates also mean this table is a record of official announcements, not proof that the named examples exhaust the current roster. For the published route conditions, see the separate boss-route guide.
DLC returns and the 1.0 hidden encounter
Veewo’s Archenemy Returns announcement says all 34 bosses from the original Neon Abyss are returning to the Abyss over time. This is a separate DLC return group; the announcement does not provide a complete name-by-name list or say that 34 is the number of native Neon Abyss 2 bosses.
The 1.0 launch notes separately add a hidden boss encounter related to chests in the fishing room and leave its discovery condition to players. The notes also list fixes for chest-trigger failures, boss-resource loading, combat and exit states, and linked chests continuing to charge after the boss was defeated. These confirm the encounter and its fixes, but not the boss’s identity or a reliable trigger. See the fishing guide.
What this boss reference does not establish
The 1.0 notes say the Targets page contains a Boss Route Map with challenge routes, node details, and unlock status. They do not reproduce the full map or list every boss prerequisite. Use that in-game map for current availability; the separate route guide distinguishes official requirements from community-reported routes.
No source reviewed here establishes a complete current native-boss roster, a name-by-name inventory of every returning original-game DLC boss, or the identity and trigger of the fishing-room encounter. These gaps keep this reference bounded rather than exhaustive.
