Neon Abyss 2 Stats: Attribute Meanings & Comparisons
Veewo's January 29 update lists Damage Bonus, Attack Speed, Projectile Range, Projectile Size, Critical Chance, and Luck, and explains that damage bonuses no longer directly enlarge bullets. The Chinese announcement describes artifacts being dismantled into matching Attribute Gems; the English announcement frames this as Artifact Extraction that adds primary-stat bonuses. October 1.0 gameplay refers to a stat page and shows named run-specific bonuses, while exact caps and formulas remain unpublished.

- Version
- The exact six-stat list and artifact-upgrade details come from Veewo Games’ January 29, 2026 Glimmer Heist update. October 8 and 12 gameplay recordings confirm stats and a stat page are still discussed in 1.0-era play, but do not display the full roster or gem route.
- Names and meaning
- The English update names Damage Bonus, Attack Speed, Projectile Range, Projectile Size, Critical Chance, and Luck. It distinguishes damage from projectile size. The Chinese edition calls the size-related field 伤害范围; this English guide follows the English labels.
- Limits
- The sources do not provide universal caps, exact units for every field, growth curves, or a complete stacking/damage formula. The October gameplay examples are individual run bonuses, not a complete stat table.
Lookup and field meanings
Veewo’s January 29, 2026 update lists six main attributes: Damage Bonus, Attack Speed, Projectile Range, Projectile Size, Critical Chance, and Luck. It separates Damage Bonus from projectile size and describes Artifact Extraction as a way to add primary-stat bonuses visible in the pause-menu stat page. The Chinese version of that official update explains the gem step: dismantle an artifact into Attribute Gems, then collect a gem to raise its matching stat. October 8 and 12 gameplay recordings show individual stat upgrades and players checking a stat page in 1.0-era play, but do not display all six fields or the full gem flow. The sources provide no universal stat caps, growth curves, or complete damage formula.
The six main attribute fields
Veewo’s English January 29 update names six main fields. The announcement provides a specific damage-versus-size distinction, but does not publish a unit or formula for every field.

| Attribute | What the update establishes |
|---|---|
| Damage Bonus | A primary damage-related stat; it is separate from projectile size. |
| Attack Speed | A named primary attribute. |
| Projectile Range | A named primary attribute. |
| Projectile Size | The size-related field; weapon damage upgrades no longer directly enlarge bullets. |
| Critical Chance | A named primary attribute. |
| Luck | A named primary attribute. |

Damage Bonus and Projectile Size are different fields
Veewo’s update calls out a system change: raising weapon damage no longer directly enlarges bullets. Damage and projectile size are separate attributes, so a larger Damage Bonus does not by itself establish a larger projectile. Veewo’s English notes call the size field Projectile Size; the Chinese edition uses 伤害范围 in its explanation of the same size-related behavior. Veewo Games’ Glimmer Heist update
Check the stat page and raise stats through artifact extraction
Veewo says the updated stat display is in the pause menu and that extracting an artifact adds bonuses to one or more primary stats. The Chinese edition explains the intermediate resource: artifacts can be dismantled into Attribute Gems, and picking up a gem increases its corresponding attribute. It also says the reworked Smiley Counter provides Attribute Gems, with a chance at a grand prize. In an October 12, 1.0-era co-op recording, a player says they need to open their stat page to see current bonuses (1:41:53–1:42:01). This supports the current use of a stat page, but the clip does not show all six labels or the gem process. Veewo Games’ Glimmer Heist update · Crispysense’s Switch 2 co-op recording
Current gameplay shows individual bonuses, not a complete formula
An October 8 full-release recording shows a +3% Critical Chance choice at 11:35 and a +3 Projectile Size bonus at 26:35. These are examples of particular bonuses in a run, not proof of stat caps or a universal damage calculation. Keep the primary-stat list separate from weapon affixes and item effects when comparing builds. Gohjoe’s full-release gameplay · Projectile Size example at 26:35
Compare the displayed build without inventing a universal ranking
Compare values for the same Agent and relevant run context, and note which upgrade changed. The published notes do not supply maximums, growth curves, exact units for every field, or a complete formula for how stats combine with weapon affixes and artifacts. They therefore cannot support a universal best-stat order or a precise damage calculator. For in-game weapon practice, see the Training Centre guide.
