Lookup and field meanings

In the 2026.10.8 PC build, a normal egg hatches after one hatch-progress trigger from an eligible item or the Temple of Cuteness; it does not hatch just from time or clearing a room. A normal attempt succeeds about two times in three over time, and two failures cannot occur consecutively. A hit knocks a Hatchmon out rather than killing it; touch it to wake it. CapyDB lists 49 Hatchmon, including 17 baby forms and 32 Super Hatchmon, with recipes and effects.

How eggs hatch

  1. Pick up an egg; it follows the Agent.
  2. Get an item or effect that adds hatch progress and meet its trigger. Examples include killing enemies, taking damage, using a Crystal-cost Curio, opening a clown box or destroying obstacles.
  3. One progress trigger fills a normal egg. A normal hatch succeeds about two times in three over time; the extracted data says two failures cannot occur in a row.
  4. A success produces one of five basic Hatchmon at random: Purply, Tealy, Ivory, Pinky or Limey. A failed attempt consumes the egg and drops coins.

The Temple of Cuteness can provide a free hatch wheel; the Lightbulb Curio can spend Crystals to hatch an egg immediately. These details are for the named PC build.

Baby Hatchmon and Super Hatchmon

CapyDB lists 49 Hatchmon: 17 baby forms and 32 Super Hatchmon. Four baby Hatchmon combine according to a specific recipe. Boxie uses three Limey and one Purply; Chirpie uses two Limey and two Purply. See the full Hatchmon catalogue for each companion’s effect, source, damage and recipe.

Hatchmon are knocked out, not killed

The build-specific guide says a hit knocks a Hatchmon out; touching it wakes it at full health. Some companions, including Kiddy and Chirpie, can wake others automatically.
